The Parkside Players is a community theater group which has been in existence since 1981 at the same location in Forest Hills. Our theater, housed in Grace Lutheran Church on the corner of 71st Road and Union Turnpike, seats approximately 150 persons, and has been filled to capacity at a number of our recent performances.
Once again in the 2016/2017 season, Parkside Players will be accepting advertising for its playbills. A rate schedule is below.
The group performs three separate productions each year, with seven performances of each production. The audience is drawn basically from the Forest Hills, Glendale, Kew Gardens, Maspeth, Middle Village and Rego Park areas, although there are others who come to see our shows from throughout the borough and from as far away as southern Brooklyn.
Our record attendance is 981 patrons, for a prior musical we performed. This year we will be performing a musical, a mystery and a comedy.
We believe that this represents an ideal opportunity for you. Our ever-growing audience represents members of the community who have discretionary income, who are willing to spend the $17.00 per ticket, and an average of $2 per person once at the theater. Although this may not seem like much, the typical person attends with two or three other family members, costing a family of four $54 for the evening or afternoon.
Our audience expands with each show we produce, with friends and family of the cast coming to see their first show at Parkside, and with people we reach through the publication of our press releases in the Daily News and New York Newsday, as well as local weekly newspapers and the World Wide Web
*The cost for the full season package for either the front cover, the inside back cover or the back outside cover is $200.00. These pages are produced in either a coated paper stock, or a heavier weight colored paper. Only full page advertisements will be accepted for these locations, and they are based on a first come, first serve basis.
Although we will accept advertisements at any point during the course of the season, the deadline for copy of ads is three weeks before opening night of each show.
In order to qualify for the full season discount, full payment for the entire season must be made no later than November 1st. In all other cases, full payment must be made no later than the submission of the ad copy. Businesses who elect the full page, full season package will receive two free tickets to opening night for each production.
These rates assume that the advertiser presents camera ready material to the group for publication. Additional charges will be levied if the advertisement is not camera ready.
